It melts quickly, especially in our RY10 Pro Melter, and it will stay hot and ready for up to 6 hours. It's the commercial-grade product trusted most by contractors.
Choose the Driveway Crack Filler that Makes Your Job Easier
Your job is to fix cracks and gaps that appear in asphalt on driveways, laneways, and in parking lots. Of course, in order to do this job and to do it well, you need to have all of the right equipment and products at your disposal such as our asphalt crack fill driveway crack filler.
Why Choose to Use Our Crack Filler?
It is important to choose a high-quality product that works, and this offers a number of benefits that many of the other brands on the market simply don’t have. One of the big benefits is the high softening point. This means that you do not have to worry about tracking the filler even on a hot summer day.
The filler also happens to be self-leveling, which can save you and your crew quite a bit of time and effort. The product will begin to soften at 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and it is ready to pour when it gets to 370 degrees. You are able to use this driveway crack filler in oil-jacketed and direct fire melters and applicators. After you have applied the filler to the cracks, it should dry in about one to two hours s.
The product here is a half pallet that contains 20 boxes with 50lbs of filler in each. In each of the 20 boxes are two 25 lb blocks. They are separated like this so it is easier for you to use and melt only what you need and to store the rest.
The driveway crack filler on the pallet can fill approximately 7,000 linear feet of cracks. Of course, the amount that it will fill depends on how deep and wide the cracks are. The pallet’s shipping weight is 1000 lbs. If you need more, consider the full pallet. If you have just a small job, then you may want to consider the 50lb box.

Our crack filler has a shelf life of 10 years unopened. It's why so many of our customers choose to take advantage our half-pallet and pallet offerings: the savings are so high it is worth storing them until you need them. It can be stored outside; just cover it with weather-resistant pallet wrap and keep it out of the sun.
Absolutely! You just have to heat it up again when you are ready to use it.
As soon as the crackfiller comes down to ambient temperature - sometimes as soon as 30-45 minutes when it is hot, and more quickly in cooler temperatures. Test with a stick: if you push down on the crackfiller and the crackfill doesn't tack to the stick, you're good to drive on it.
Whether you used liquid cold-pour crack filler or rubberized hot-pour crack filler, it is best to let the product dry completely before applying sealer. Depending on ambient and surface temperatures, the actual drying time of the crack fill can vary. We usually recommend allowing crack fill to dry for 24 to 48 hours before applying sealer.
It is best to use silica sand. Silica sand is basically 99% to 99.5% silicon dioxide, meaning, it is pure, more stable, and is resistant to acid. Regular sand, on the other hand, contains a lot of impurities such as a mix of feldspar and other oxide minerals with very low silica content.
The half pallet option contains 20 boxes of 50-lb. crackfill blocks (2 x 25-lb./11.33-kg. cubes per box) and can fill approximately 7,000 linear feet of cracks.
The full pallet includes 40 boxes of 50-lb. bricks of rubberized crackfill (2 x 25-lb./11.33-kg. cubes per box) that can fill approximately 14,000 linear feet of cracks depending on depth and width of opening.
The pavement temperature should not be lower than 5°C. When sealing cracks in cold weather, use a torch or hot-air lance and heat up the cracks to 5°C or higher to ensure proper material adhesion.
The crackfill material can be heated up to 200°C (392°F) until melted to ensure a smooth flow and application. Recommended pouring temperature should not fall below 185°C (365°F) to prevent the material from caking or congealing.
To ensure optimum performance, do not heat the material beyond the recommended temperature as this can destroy its bonding capability.
You should turn the regulator down. We do not recommend leaving the crackfill material on high heat for long periods of time. The crackfill can be cooled and reheated as needed, but prolonged heating can damage it and disrupt its bonding capability
