Waterborne paint dries to the touch in just 7 minutes, and can be driven on in 2 hours! Need to add luminosity? No problem - you can use reflective beads with this road paint.
Each 5-Gallon Pail will stripe 1,600 linear feet or 485 meters when applied correctly.
Use Waterborne paint with a line striping machine for even coverage and consistent results. We recommend a .019 - .021-inch tip on your airless paint sprayer.
For best results, ensure that the air temperature is 15° C for at least 1 hour before you begin applying and two hours afterward. Ideally, you should also ensure there will not be any precipitation in the forecast for the next 24 hours, to ensure the best adhesion. Avoid striping at night when the temperature is cooler and the dew point is higher - this will greatly increase the amount of dry time required.
Begin by using a gas blower or a stiff-bristled broom to remove any gravel or dust from the area you are painting. If you are re-painting over old lines, use both a brush and then a blower to remove any peeling paint or other debris. If there has been engine oil or epoxy coatings on the surface, use a power washer to get rid of any residue.
It's important to wait 30 days before striping with Waterborne / Latex paint because the compounds in sealers can affect the adhesion of the paint.
As with most water-based paints, it is important to protect them from freezing. Mix thoroughly before beginning to paint. If you need to store a partially-opened container, put a small amount of water inside to stand on the top and prevent a skin from forming in the pail.
